That’s a wrap…

January 27, 2009

And so I think aloud…

1. It’s funny how things change in life.  I thought of this today as I ate my crackers and Mickey Mouse cheese followed by my very favorite Dora yogurt.

2. And so the conversation goes between the little lady of the house and myself.
Me: “What would you like me to make for dinner?”
Little Miss: “Leftovers.”  (As if this is was some scrumptious meal I’ve put together before.  Let me point out that I’m certain she could not remember what we had the night before.)

3. The little man of the house really hasn’t ever been all about cuddling with you (unless EXTREMELY sleepy)…until now!!  Oh, yeah, now we’re talking!  Words truly cannot express the warmth in my heart when that baby boy puts his head on my shoulder.  I’m sensing a little “mom’s boy” lately and I have to say, I kinda like it.

4. So, yes, it’s a wrap.  My little (however a bit bigger than me) brother’s senior pics are officially all taken.  He may need a hug as I’m quite certain he’s deeply saddened by this…ummmm, maybe not.  I do have to give him some credit with these though, he did great!  I like ‘em.

MY babies…

January 11, 2009

1.  Little man has started to clap and it really is just as fun the second kid around.  Wow!  Simple, yet so very entertaining.
2.  Little miss keeps saying the funniest things.  “Do you know what Frosty just said?  He said I’m the most beautiful girl in the world.”  Hmmm…I’ve got to get to know this Frosty fella…
3.  Little man has officially, OFFICIALLY, become a mover and a shaker.  He now climbs stairs and we now chase.
4.  Little miss to her Dad, “Did you know Gatorade turns into pee?”  Love their thought process.
5.  Little man CANNOT be left alone.  Quiet = trouble.
6.  Little miss to her Mom, “Mommy, I love you.  I’m going to KEEP you.”  Phew, got me on that one.
7.  Little man just pushed in four teeth.  Yes, all at once.  He did it with such charisma.  Hardly a fuss, whataguy!  He’s not doing a good job staying a baby.  Not fair.
8.  Little miss on sweeping snow off the back deck, “We have to sweep so we can keep the world healthy!”  A lady on a mission.

I love them more than they could fathom and it’s the simple things that I love the most…
