Jenny’s crew…

September 30, 2008

Good friends of ours asked me to get some pics of their family over the weekend.  Lots of fun and you have to love it when you do a session where everyone, photographer included, gets gum when we’re all finished.  Now, that’s what I call bribery on a budget.  Worked wonders…look how cooperative John was. :)

Holly and her girls…

September 27, 2008

We’ve been planning this session forever!  Finally, we made it happen.  I found it definitely worth the wait as we had a ton of fun with only one minor “oops, I hit my face on a hay bale.”  Nothing a little “rub some dirt on it” won’t cure.  Evenings can be unpredictable on the moods of little stinkers but these girls did great.  Lots and lots of sweetness…thanks ladies!

WOO HOO! FINALLY!

September 24, 2008

Well, folks, that’s a wrap.  Well, at least until I’m bored and want to make changes.  It’s really official now!  www.skyehattenphotography.com has been launched.  Check it out.  Even though I made my goal to get it done by the end of the month, I still thought I would never get it done.  Thank you to everyone for all your support.  A big thank you to the man of this house who has been such a great critic and has been so good at putting things in perspective and keeping my stresses at bay.  I’d be a nut without him.

My boys…

September 24, 2008

We went to a wedding over the weekend.  Little Miss just couldn’t stop talking about how “good” and “cute” the princess was and she couldn’t stay off the dance floor once she was on.  She really does do one mean sprinkler.  The ceremony was at such a beautiful location.  Of course, I had to take a few pics.  My family loves it.  Either that or they just have given up on me.  Anyway, loved these ones of my boys…

And I just absolutely get lost in this one…I just love ‘em.

The Colors of Fall

September 21, 2008

I talked my crew into being guinea pigs for fall photo locations.  This was our Friday night activity.  Didn’t they do great??!  We really were only scoping and didn’t anticipate taking a ton of pics but it really turned out to be such a great spot.

On a side note, the website should be up and running early this week.  I’ll post a note of official notification.  Wow, that almost SOUNDED “official.”

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yep, even the wiener (aka Lilly) struck a pose…

Busy, busy, busy!

September 15, 2008

Yes, I’ve neglected the blog…for very good reasons, however!  The first reason: Spent the weekend hanging out with my crew.  Both kids got a touch of the cold so we had a low key weekend.  The second reason: I have been busy working on something very exciting…my website!  It’s coming along…slowly, but is definitely coming along.  It is certain that it will be ready to roll by the end of the month so keep checking back for THE day.  The third reason: I have been proofing senior pics.  I’ve posted a couple favorites and I hope you all like them too!

It’s Fall and Football

September 10, 2008

This weekend we went to the Farm in the Dell Harvest Days.  For those of you who don’t know, the Farm in the Dell here in Helena is a non profit organization created to assist those with developmental disabilities and also provide selected individuals with disabilities the opportunity to live and work on the farm.  What a wonderful organization.  They did an amazing job putting on the Harvest Days for families.  This was our first year and we had such a great time and definitely plan to make this a yearly tradition.  They had tons of games, great food, and the kids get to pick pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.  And yes, I know it’s green.  I’ve been told by my very intelligent husband that they will turn orange as I also said “They’re all green.”  This is my very favorite time of year.  As for Mr. Hatten, this is also his favorite time of year.  Yes, folks, it’s football season.  To commemorate, Tiny Tim has been included in his blue and orange.  Born a Bronco fan… :)

Senior Pics Sneak Peak…Jason

September 7, 2008

Posting a few senior pics from today.  What a perfect day for shooting…overcast, yet perfectly bright for pics like these.  So many good ones.  Lots of fun and we were able to get these done pretty quick.  Oh, and for the record, I do typically fuel up before the light comes on.  Eeek!  Thanks for a great session!

Thank you!

September 4, 2008

I just wanted to give a big thank you to those who continue to look at the blog and for the great comments that have been left.  They mean a ton!  I have had such amazing support from my friends and family.  A big thanks to my mom for the continued support that never stops.  I wouldn’t be half of what I am without you.  Heck, I may not even be born! :) Thank you, thank you to my husband for genuinely caring so much about this crazy obsession, constantly listening to my gibberish, offering great ideas/advice, and for just loving me for exactly who I am.  I am truly so lucky!

I can’t not post a picture…little miss, oh, little miss, she’s growing up so quickly on me.  She just started preschool last week and loves it.  She’s been saying the funniest things lately.  Last week she asked when she was going to be married.  I gasped and laughed and said “I don’t know.”  She said, “When I’m seven?”  I said, “No!”  I asked her, “Who are you going to marry?”  The funny thing is that she said she was going to marry “Daddy.”  Made me smile.

Sweet baby boys.

The bonus to getting together with family is great photo ops.  This is our little guy with his cousin Blaine.  They really were troopers for this pic.  They still aren’t super steady so we had several hands close by.  If not, Blaine was ready to go ahead and dive in or just lay down for a while.
